Therefore, since they also unlisted the car, due to the tire issue, I’m going to leave it unlisted for the next two weeks. They did backcharge me $200 for the tow/roadside assistance, and unlisted the car, which Discount Tire replaced the tire on, free of charge, and made the warranty whole for the full 50000 miles, which Turo could take a lesson from. I’m not playing their little games, the vehicle is useful to me at home.ītw, sorry to semi hi-jack the post, but now you see how this can go down with Turo. (One damage claim, and one roadside assistance call in 92 trips)

That doesn’t count the trip charges, insurance of theirs that I rarely use. This vehicle makes about $175/week in revenue for Turo, so I told them if they backcharge me, I’m going to leave it unlisted to do two or three weeks of “enhanced testing” on the new tire, during which they will loose $350-$525 in just revenue that they charge me in the 30% they take. ***edit again, Turo towed it about an hour’s distance, and informed me they were going to back charge me for the tow. I wonder who will pay for that? Closer to me though, and now I don’t really have to do anything. ***edit, looks like Turo is setting up a tow to the nearest shop that has the tires, nearly two hours away. She is taking it to the local discount tire, which is where I purchased the tires. These tires have less than 1500 miles on them. I responded to the guest that I authorized the repair.
